UH, WHAT?

sitting on the floor
looking at the door
waiting for the familiar footsteps
tapping along harmoniously in laps

he knew he was outside
from the balcony he'd seen his ride
but why wasn't he coming in
instead of breaths smelling of gin

he knocked on the door hastily
why the rush, who knew really
he walked inside, avoiding eye contact
hoping that his anger would retract

he threw himself on the lounge
only to make a thudding sound
he ran to his aid, out of loyalty
nothing was said, that's love actually

he placed his head onto his lap
stroking the jet black hair after the mishap
their eyes met, they've won their bet
a passionate night was set straight

exchanging kisses while they embraced
their eyes met again, their hearts raced
they savoured the moment, really intimately
that could easily be stolen immediately
